Autumn Aperol Spritz

Ahhh Fall! It’s finally here! It took awhile to get here in Texas, and someday’s the weather still tries to revert back to summer, but for the most part, cooler weather is here and I love it. Now, don’t get me wrong, I loved our summer days in the pool and the all the fun in the sun that we had. But I feel like I’ve been swimming for 9 months and I am ready for some sweaters! Our favorite drink to help us cool down was an aperol spritz. It was a perfect summer drink, but I wasn’t ready to let go of that quite yet. Enter, the Autumn Aperol Spritz! It’s pretty similar to a traditional spritz but with a few hints of fall. So to all my pumpkin spice and apple cider lovin ladies, here is your go-to fall drink! I’m going to be making these for some friends for Halloween, but one of the best parts about this drink is that it can easily last through Thanksgiving. So let’s get to the recipe!

Autumn Aperol Spritz Recipe:

  • 1 oz of Blood Orange Juice
  • 1 oz of Aperol
  • 3 oz of Apple Cider
  • 1 small pour of club soda
  • 3oz of Prosecco ( you can add more to your liking)
  • 1 Blood Orange Slice
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

Squeeze juice out of one blood orange and set aside. Add ice to a wine glass. Add 1 ounce of blood orange juice and 1 ounce of aperol to glass. Add 3 ounces of apple cider. Pour a small amount of club soda in glass and then add the 3 ounces of prosecco (or fill the rest of the glass up with it!) Stir until combined. Garnish with 1 slice of blood orange and 1 cinnamon stick.

Its fall in a wine glass yall! Enjoy!
